My brothers and sisters in Christ,
The past few weeks have truly been an amazing time of watching the Lord do His supernatural healing work in the lives of many of our brothers and sisters. I had the privilege of meeting with quite a few people in several different locations. Although it is always difficult to listen to others recount the hurt and pain of their experience, the wonder of seeing God’s grace and healing surpasses the challenges we must sometimes navigate to live in the good of God’s freedom and healing. I share the information below as a testimony to the power of Christ’s healing for the broken and battered. Some of the individuals I met with had significant breakthroughs, while others realized their need to press in for the long haul. However, all were encouraged and left with hope. For this, I am profoundly grateful to God.
I also want to sincerely thank all those who have supported Symboulos Ministries financially and through prayer during this past month. Your prayers and financial gifts enabled me to provide counseling for a number of folks in four different locations. Some of the issues addressed are noted below:
Depression (2X, ongoing counseling)
Major Depression/Anxiety (hospitalized)
Suicidal Ideation (stabilized)
Physical Abuse of a Child (reported to Child Protective Services)
Spousal Abuse (reported to police, moved to shelter), depression, anxiety
Anxiety, Stress (2X, ongoing counseling)
Spiritual Abuse (4X, ongoing counseling)
As you can see, the struggles and challenges noted above are very serious and painful. Please keep Symboulos in your prayers, especially that God would direct us to those who need help. As one client commented, “God has given you a search and rescue mission”. To that end, pray that God would lead us to where they are.
